Hi,

our production server, Windows 2003 Server (x64), has become unstable
for some reason. I have no clue how to retrieve any more information
about why it is crashing except from the event log.. could anyone please
help me?

--

The reason supplied by user blabla\Oscar for the last unexpected
shutdown of this computer is: System Failure: Stop error

Reason Code: 0x805000f

Bug ID: 3

Bugcheck String: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800012c121f,
0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff)

Comment: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800012c121f,
0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff)

---

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e
(0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800012c121f, 0x0000000000000000,
0xffffffffffffffff). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.

--

I can also see some frequent "System errors" in the event log.

Error code 000000000000001e, parameter1 ffffffffc0000005, parameter2
fffff800012c121f, parameter3 0000000000000000, parameter4 ffffffffffffffff.

How do I proceed?

best regards,
oscar

It might be worth the money to call Microsoft and spend the 250 bucks to
find out what is wrong.

Hi,

I have had quite a few crashes from bug checks over the years. The latest is
one of my entire labs dispite multiple images and updated drivers.

Did you add anything new to this server? Did a driver update automatically
via Windows Update?

Here is the MS KB dealing with bugcheck 0x0000001E

From my experience there are two main reasons for bug check bluescreens.

1> Faulty/Incorrect Ram (we upgraded all our RAM so I am thinking this may
be our issue)
2> Bad Driver(s)

If you can get the server up long enough I would try rolling back any new
drivers and/or updating the drivers. Unplug ALL USB except the mouse and
keyboard. Start with the Video Drivers first and then the Network Card.

You can try searching for bug check on eventid.net.

Cheers,
Lara
