wuaboot error

I am getting an error saying "wuaboot caused am unknown
error". I am using Windows ME

I believe this has something to do with the automatic
update feature but do not know for sure and anything I
have tried thus far has failed to fix the error message.
Microsoft's web site has no imformation that I can find on
the subject.

Any help would be appreciated.

Start>control panel>Automatic Updates>Disable should do the trick. Just
remember to check for critical updates now and then. Once a week should
keep you fairly safe.
