I created a zip disk on a windows 98 machine and now I'm
trying to read it on a ME machine which won't work. Dell
says it's not their problem and Microsoft says there is a
solution but to try this venue unless I want to pay $35.
I assume there is a software patch. Any ideas, please?
Thanks

Speak to the manufacturer of the Zip drive, Iomega, for a solution.

Have a look at this Iomega support page:-
"There is no drive letter assigned to my Zip® parallel port drive in
Windows® Me"
