Do you have a HOSTS file (Note: the HOSTS.sam file is just a sample.
HOSTS has no extension) blocking access to sites ? Look in the WINDOWS
folder and open it with Notepad or Wordpad, if it's a large one. Search
for the name of the sites that you can not access. If they are found,
remove the reference to them. Save the HOSTS file and exit.
If the HOSTS file is not the issue, you may be experiencing damage to
your Winsock stack due to"parasite" infestation of your system.
