I've picked up a virus in 'pixelpwr32'. Norton can
neither clean, delete, nor quarantine this virus. It's
name is Trojan.Gema

Here'a the printout:

Scan type: Manual Scan
Event: Virus Found!
Virus name: Trojan.Gema
File: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\pixelpwr32.exe
Location: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
Computer: OEMCOMPUTER
User: default
Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine failed :
Date found: Fri Dec 19 05:22:30 2003

I know the file is probably important to the operating
system but why can't the virus be put into quarantine and
then deleted from the quartantine file?

What happens if I delete pixelpwr32? What is pixelpwr32?

Thanks in advance

jim

Please put WinME in Safe Mode and perform a Full Scan of your PC and clean/delete the
infectors as needed.
