Ah, the Windows folder. That helps. It is, as you say, a folder rather than
a file.
Are you able to run Win Me? If yes then you must have a Windows folder
although to be more correct you have an "object" called %windir% which is
usually but not always a folder called WINDOWS. I wonder if the problem in
your case is just that you have "hidden" the folder so that it is not visible
when using Explorer?
To view hidden and system files and folders using Explorer, open Explorer,
then Tools | Folder Options | View and check the radio button "Show hidden
files and folders" and UNcheck the radio button "Hide protected operating
system files". Can you know see your windows folder?
