Hi, I have a son who is on computer restriction. He knows
how to delete internet history. Is there a way for me to
track which programs he may use when I am not around, with
the time used? Can I even tell when the computer was
turned on? Is there a way to disable his ability to
delete internet history (which many parents would
appreciate as a feature)?
Please send any information on checking his tracks to
thalc@msn.com
Thanks,
Theresa

Spybot search and destroy -- you can find a download at pcworld

has an 'immunization' setting that has a control to add a password before
internet settings can be changed.
Not sure, but I am thinking that will prevent your son from erasing internet
history or setting history to 1 day (essentially 'erasing' past days usage).
Of course, you can ALWAYS put a pw on the actual computer as well.
