system files

I had to format my hard drive and reinstall ME. now that I reinstalled my
fire wall I have 2 executable systems file trying to acces the net they are
t9f.exe and wcd.exe. I have no clue what these files are but they are hogging
up my processes as they continue to try and access the web and are blocked.
Any one got a clue?

Neither file is part of the Win Me operating system but instead presumably
part of some application that you have installed.

What does your antivirus application have to tell you? What is their
location, for example if in Program Files\???? - does ???? give a clue as
to their origin? What do the properties of the files tell you (select the
file, right click and then click Properties).

You might try punching each file name into Google and see what the searches
turn up. I Googled "wcd.exe" without the quotes and got 312 results. Looked

hey thanks
i googled it wcd is some sort of prgram to fast change directories not
quite sure why it contniues to want internet access,. it is in the systems
file.When i search in windows i cant find it. I have opened all hidden files.
t9f is still a mystery
