When I boot my laptop running Windows ME, it does nothing
but go to a screen saying:

"Microsoft Windows Millennium Startup Menu"
===========

The problem is - there are no options on this startup
menu, and the computer will do nothing but this when the
computer loads up. I can't get into Windows ME at all.

Has anybody got any suggestions as to the cause of this
problem, and any possible resolutions.

Thanks - your help is greatly appreciated,
James

Can you boot to DOS with a floppy disk?
If so - try the following command from the A: prompt after selecting option
3

SYS C:

take out the floppy, and reboot

see if that does it
