I'm sure this is a question with an extremely simple answer. I've
recently switched from Windows 98 to Windows ME and when I make
connection to my ISP I'm asked for my password. In 98 I was able to
save the password so that I didn't have to enter it every time
I wanted to connect, but I can't find how to save it in ME. TIA for
your help.

Usually locating and deleting all files with an extension *.PWL will solve
the problem.

Be aware that you will lose all user profiles.

The usual reason is when you get a logon prompt, instead of clicking 'ok'
you click 'cancel'. If you click 'ok' you won't see it again (unless once
logged on, you log off - obviously). Whereas if you click 'cancel' you don't
boot to a 'user profile', so it doesn't save passwords. So at the logon
prompt, don't enter a password but don't click 'cancel' either. Just click
'ok'.

If that's not the reason it gets very slightly more involved.

IrishCraig did e-mail me a couple of days ago to confirm that the problem
was fixed.
