a question please.... if i restore back a few days do i
lose any downloaded updates in those in-between days????

There's a good chance that you'll have to uninstall and reinstall Norton -
and then reinstall all updates

Norton has a very unenviable record of screwing ME systems, one way or
another:(

Unfortunately, you're correct. I've used Norton Utilities since there
was a Norton Utilities, but recently I've only installed the
Anti-Virus section of Norton, which doesn't seem to cause any
problems. I've started casting around for another set of utilities
that provides the same functions as Norton Utilities.
