Can I reload WinME without formating? I am having
problems with the Windows Media Player 9.0 and did not
have my system restore turned on so I cannot go back to
earlier time. Can I just install it over my current
WinME?

ME can be re-installed without it affecting your installed software and
saved files.
It's best to back-up your important docs etc.
You will have to download any updates you've received from Microsoft's
update site and you're internet explorer will go back to version 5.5.
Before re-installing turn off any anti-virus application you have running
and any Norton application. To do this hold down 'Ctrl & Alt' and press
'Del'. This will show you all the applications running. Select the
anti-virus and Norton progs and then click on 'End task'.
