is it possible to reinstall windows without losing all data
and programs so i can repair files that may have been
corrupted by another graphics program?

tried using certain fixes eg: thumb dll.
i have no thumbnails or the option in the "view" drop down
menu! its a small problem but very frustrating!!!!!
ps did i mention i am a complete novice in the computing
world?
