I`ve updated Windows since Win 3.0. Unfortunately I have
only one receipt for Win 98. Do the discs of 98 Second
Edition and Me have info on them that I can use to prove
legal ownership.

No, only the Certificate of Authenticity that comes with the operating
system is proof of a legal license.
