open/save window

My open window & save to window now the displays the folders/files by date.
It used to be by alphabetical order which I want. How do I change it back so
when I want to save or open a folder/files it always displays folders by
alphabetical order?

My suggestion would be this:

In your Open and/or Save As windows, click on the 'View
Menu' icon...it should be the one farthest to the right on
the top line of the window. Click on 'Details'...then you
will see a row of index tabs above the folder window area,
which are labeled 'Name', 'Size', 'Type', etc. Click on
the tab labeled 'Name' and the window will resort by
alphabet. If for some reason the sort goes top to bottom
from Z to A instead of from A to Z, click the 'Name' tab
again. Then click again on the 'View Menu' icon and click
on either 'List' or 'Small Icons', whichever you prefer.
