Every time I boot my pc I get the error message "failed to
load cd_clint.dll". Although it doesn't seem to interfere
with any programs, it's annoying to see it pop up every
time I boot up. Does anyone know what causes this error
and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

This appears to be part of the CyDoor pest.
There are very limited circumstances where this pest may be required (one
version of a Tax planner program uses it) - but usually running the standard
pest-removal programs will get rid of it
Such errors are often caused by spyware - download AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

cd_clint is part Cydoor's adware and forms part of Kazaa and other P2P
applications. It is possible that you have used AdAware and removed this file
which probably means the application with which it came bundled no longer
works.
