I am trying to free up some much needed space.
My "cookies" folder is full of stuff I don't need (1,102
items) and 1 thing I do need (index). Is there a way to
select only the 1,101 items and not select index? In
other words, do I have to delete each of the 1,000+
cookies individually? HEEEELLLLPPPP!

To delete all contents of a folder exept one item:

Open your 'Cookies' folder
Highlight 'Index'
Go to Edit > Inverse selection > hit 'delete'.

Actually, you cannot delete the 'Index.dat' file.
