Hi

I recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows
ME.

Now, every time I go to log on to a certain web site which
requires a password, the "Enter Network Password" box
comes up blank, even though I put a check in the "Save
this password in your password list" line each time. Win
Me does not seem to want to remember my log on info for
Network Passwords, although it will remember passwords for
sites which have regular log in fields on the page.

Also, on the other hand, I do not want to password protect
my computer, but every time I restart my computer, I
receive an alert asking me to register a password. The
alert says if I don't enter a password, I won't be asked
again. However, I keep getting asked.

These are not major problems, just annoying, because I
must keep looking up my log in info, although I have one
ID and password committed to memory by now.

I hope someone can help. Thanx in advance.

Matthew

Hi,
Not logging to Windows may be causing the other password problem. Put in a
username but no password to the Windows logon prompt, then click OK (not
cancel.)
See: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=152104 for more information.

Hope this helps,
Don
