Anyone, please advise - this doesn't seem to work - I
enter the correct promt at c: but get an error message -

1. Insert the Windows Me startup disk into drive A.
2. Click Start, click Shutdown, and then click Restart.
3. When the Windows Me Boot menu is displayed, click
Option 4, Minimal Boot.
4. At the command prompt, type: c:.
5. Press ENTER.
6. At the command prompt, type: cd progra~1\verizo~1
\winpoet.
7. Press ENTER.
8. At the command prompt, type: ren shlwapi.dll
shlwapi.bak.
9. Press ENTER.
10. Remove the startup disk, and then press CTRL+ALT+DEL
to restart the computer.

It would perhaps help those who might be able to help you if you were to
say what the error message is you see when you type C: when you boot to
DOS with a Win Me boot floppy.

You should initially see an A:\> prompt and after typing C: the prompt
should change to C:\>
