I have a Dell computer with Window ME.

I would like to know if Microsoft sells an upgrade that
would allow me to upgrade to Windows XP without having to
reformat the hard drive?

Yes, Microsoft sells an upgrade, but you need to make sure you have all the
XP drivers available. Run this hardware compatibility program on your
computer.

An upgrade copy of XP can be used to either upgrade an existing Win Me system
to XP or to clean install XP if required although in the latter case you will
need to have a Win Me CD available to verify your eligibility to use an
upgrade version of XP.
