When I explored the word 'System Resources' in my file search, I discovered
a file named 'System Soap Pro'.
What in the world is that?
I was able to avert a major problem by being able to delete it, even though
under difficult circumstances.
Does anyone have an idea what this represents?

Harry.

Before you deleted it, it was a Windows cleaning app. See the following

Thank you, Heirloom. I might have researched it myself, but didn't think of
it.
It being a legitimate program, why did it give me trouble executing? It
completed to 90% aand left me with a mostly blue screen and a note that
there was an access problem.
In the process it also eliminated my taskbar.
That prompted me to delete the file.
All indications are, there was something wrong with the file.
Is a re-download in order, Heirloom?
Thanks.

Harry.

Gads, I have no idea.....did you pay for the proggy? I have never heard of
it and have not looked into it, but, I would imagine that it doesn't do much
more than you could do manually from Windows, if anything. Did you get
your Taskbar back? If this app was blue screening on you, you either had a
bad download, setup, conflict, or it just ain't worth having. I think I
would do some looking at it and get some opinions of someone familiar with
it before committing again.
Heirloom, old and must get rid of some coffee

And I will do just that, Heirloom, looking at it real good and ask some
questions, too.
Don't think I paid for it and if it's part of my System Cleaner, which I
paid for, I'll find out about it and make the proper decision on what to do
with it.
Thanks very much for your input, Heirloom.
As far as having trouble with my taskbar is concerned, there isn't any after
I was able to delete the file.
You mentioned coffee and that makes me thirsty.
Maybe I'll have some, too.

Harry.

Now I know where this file originated, Heirloom.
It was a leftover from InternetWasher Pro, a program I did have on my
computer for awhile some time ago.
Don't remember whether it was a trial version or what, but I had uninstalled
and forgotten about it.
Through this inquisition I stumbled across "Bazooka", a spyware-, adware-,
virus-, trojan's- and hijack removal tool. It is free with donations being
welcomed.
But more importantly, it is the most efficient program I came across so far
and including specific instructions for removal of the malware.
Thank you so very much for bearing with me, Heirloom.

Harry.

Don't feel like I have done much.....just sorta stood by while you did all
the work.
Not familiar with Bazooka (except as bubblegum, when I was a kid, <g>), may
check into that......don't think that it is on the "Big 10" list. Glad you
are getting things sorted out.

Recommend you look it up, Bazooka I mean.
It works good on my PC and I see no reason why it shouldn't do the same for
you.
You'll be amazed at it's versatility and the simplicity in its handling.
While it seems to be fairly new, it is constantly being upgraded and
updated.
If I'ld think there could be any problems, I would not
recommend it, that's for sure.

Harry.
