I wonder if it's a variation on Version Soup?
Storm - download and run Belarc Advisor from www.belarc.com - see what it
has to say about the state of your Hotfixes (windows Update patches).
Have you ever reinstalled ME over itself?? (don't - it's not really a good
idea, without proper preparation!)
