Hello professionals,

I Urgently need someone's help concerning the following
error message that I keep getting on my Windows Me
operating system;
" Explorer has caused an error in WMPDXM.DLL Explorer will
now close. If you continue to experience try restarting."
Now each time I try to access the following desktop icons,
the Start button, My Computer, Recycle Bin, My Briefcase,
My Network Place I get the same message. Because of this
I can't power down the PC in the conventional way.
HELP Please.

Steve

Steve,

Your WMPDXM.DLL error.

This error is associated with having installed WMP9. What version of WMP9
are you using (Help | About). May I suggest that you reinstall WMP9 which may
fix the problem. If that doesn't fix the problem could you please post full
details of this error to the microsoft.public.windowsme.multimedia newsgroup
where Zachd from Microsoft may be able to help. This problem is caused in
some way by installing WMP9 which uses this file and adds it to Win Me. Zachd
is trying to find out more details and would probably welcome receiving full
details of the actual error you are seeing.
