I tried to reset the virtual memory manually and as a
result there is not enough memory allocated to boot ME.
Does anyone know how I can fix this to the original
settings and let Windows manage automatically?
Thanks,
Peter

Boot with a Boot floppy. If you don't have one, download the OEM ME version
boot disk maker from www.bootdisk.com, d-click it with a floppy in the drive
to make the boot disk. If you can't make a boot disk on the computer you're
using now, a Windows 98 boot disk will do.

Once at the A:\> prompt, edit C:\Windows\System.ini. Remove all lines under
the [386enh] section beginning with a reference to PagingDrive or
PagingFile. Save, close and reboot.
