Hello. About four days ago SpyBot found two instances of VBouncer in my
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP folder, which it was unable to remove. I told it to try
again on re-boot and it was unable to remove them then as well. I tried to
delete the files from the folder and I can't do that either.
I have scanned with AdAware 1.3 and it doesn't even find any instances of
VBouncer.
Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of these? Can anyone tell me what the
risk is that VBouncer represents?
Thank you.

For some details of VBouncer see
http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo/v/vbouncer.asp. VBouncer is a RAT and
needs to be removed if present

As to deleting files from your Temp folder, you can always boot to Safe
Mode and delete any files that there might still be in the folder or
alternatively boot to DOS using a floppy and then delete the files from
the DOS prompt.

Thank you.

I had already tried once to delete the files while in safe mode and was not
able to do so. However, after your suggestion I decided to try one more
time, and it seems like it was successful this time.

Thank you again.
