Hi
I am running ME on a Dell laptop and have tried to upgrade to Win2000 but
after about 10 mins of running the setup program a message is returned
saying that only supprted versions of Windows can be upgraded and tells me
leave Setup!
Is it because it is a Dell machine with a customised version of WinME - (if
so, shouldn't Dell inform you before you buy the laptop) or is there another
problem?

Thanks

Nige

No, it's because you can't upgrade from ME to 2000, because 2000 came out
before ME and doesn't therefore recognise ME as a qualifying product for an
upgrade.
