Upgrade ME to XP

I have ME on my laptop and XP on my desktop. Both are
Dell. The XP came with the desktop. Can I load the full
XP on the laptop without problems or do I need to buy an
XP upgrade?

I understand I would need a separate license for a second
computer ... just wasn't sure if I could use the CD that
came with my desktop. Thanks for the clarification.
