Updates on internet

My sister says I should be getting little pop up patches
and updates to Windows ME on my computer screen as I am on
the internet.

I have gotten nary a one.

Am I supposed to sign up for something somewhere??

thanks for your help, I am probably backed up with a

You need to Windows Automatic Updates on in Control Panel

go to control panel and system you can configure updates
from there.
