I keep getting an ATL error message that reads:
Can Not Run Unicode version of atl.dll on Windows 95. Please Install the
correct version.
I have used adaware to see if that will help anything. There are all sorts
of programs available for $29.95 and up. I am trying to find a free solution
because I do not believe that we should have to pay so much extra to protect
our computers, when we are already paying for internet service, antivirus,
etc.

What program(s) did you install or try and install just prior to seeing
this message about atl.dll? It would appear that one of them was designed
for use with XP rather than Win Me. Look for all copies of the file
atl.dll on your system and note their location. The version of this file
that forms part of Win Me is that in the windows\system folder however the
version and size varies is dependent on the version of Internet Explorer
you have installed. Other applications install their own copies in their
Program Files folder including Adobe Acrobat and Creative. I suspect
your problem is with one of the copies of this file in the Program Files
folder structure.

I feel it unlikely that your problems has anything to do with malware or
viruses or which AV application you have installed.
