Unable to access word files

Since yesterday morning, I have been unable to access my
word files because an error message appears which states:
There is not enough memory or disk space to run word.
Winword USER.EXE, followed by Winword will now close Q
Server. How can I once again access these files without
seeing this message? Does it sound like a virus?

Spoke with someone at microsoft who solved the problem.
It was not a virus, and even though I had plenty of disc
space, word had become jammed. Solution was to rename
specific files that had become corrupted. Problem was
solved within a couple of minutes.
