Hi Folks:

I've come across a p3 500 running window millenium and
have managed to get it connected to the internet. I need to know the
hardware/software specifics ont his computer. I remember a year or 2
ago that there was a website you could visit that had the ability to
display all the hardware/software and versions of each on your
computer. Unfortunately for the life of me I can't remember what this
site was called. Does anyone know the site I'm talking about? Any help
would be appreciated.

You can get a lot of what you need and some status from
Start>Run> type: hwinfo /ui in the run dialogue box and click on
Run.
The above only gives hardware info, for the most part. Other free apps
include Belarc Advisor and SiSoft Sandra.....haven't tried the "Everest"
app, but, if Noel recommends it, it has to be good!!
Heirloom, old and so much software, so little time

I find that Everest (what used to be Aida32) gives more detail on hardware,
while Belarc's best feature is the Hotfix status table.

Don't have any trouble with this one either, Noel.
Must be fortunate - which doesn't happen very often.
