I ran an antivirus program (AVG) and did not find a virus-
then ran Housecall and did.
Housecall said it was Troj Small.j and was located at
C:\_Restore\Archives\FS211... but was unable to 'fix' it
because it was in use. How do I remove this thing?
Thanx

If it's in the _RESTORE folder, it's not doing any harm. It's in the
System Restore archive, and it won't do anything unless you use System
Restore to restore to a point before when the virus hit. If you are
uneasy about it, here is the procedure to clear the virus, but it is not
necessary to do:
1. Right-click My Computer, and click Properties.
2. Click the Performance tab.
3. Click the File System button.
4. Click the Troubleshooting tab.
5. Put a checkmark next to Disable System Restore.
6. Click OK, then click OK again. Immediately reboot.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 4.
8. Remove the checkmark next to Disable System Restore.
9. Click OK, then click OK again. Immediately reboot.
That will clear the virus out of the _RESTORE folder, but it will also
cost you all of your System Restore points.

Monty, I suspect you mean *unless you use System Restore to restore to a
point after when the virus hit*?
