After installing SBCYahoo! Dial-Up from a CD Rom sent by
the company, I have had a very annoying Connectionmanager
error message which pops up when I turn on my computer and
when I try to connect to the internet with SBC Yahoo!. It
says that connectionmanager has caused an error on
TAP132.DLL. Connectionmanager will now close. This
message repeats itself many times. I click on close, and
the message reappears. Eventually it does not
reappear...eventually. After calling tech support for
SBCYahoo! Dial-Up, the technitian and I tried to create a
new network icon as a shortcut to bypass that part of the
internet connection on their software. When we did that I
noticed that neither of the phone access numbers for SBC
dial-up had hyphens listed on the Network window which
pops up after clicking on Network on the lower left part
of the My Computer window screen. I have a working AOL
account which I am having no trouble with. That number
has a hyphen listed, so we corrected all the numbers to
include hyphens in both SBC dial up listings. When we
tried to connect online with the new bypass link, I
received a new error message reading Rundll32 has just
caused an error on TAP132.DLL. So, I'm getting the same
error now, from two different sources. The tech person
said that this was not something they could help me with.
That apparently there is a corrupted file somewhere. Is
this something that can be fixed by uninstalling the SBC
software and re-installing the program from another
source, or is this fix going to be more involved...
Thanks...SW
