That system.ini file is garbage - and fit only for the recycle bin.
It seems to have picked up some part of a directory listing - possibly from
\Windows\help - somehow.
If you did indeed have SR points going back to October, then your SR archive
was still at default - and you need to limit it to something more like 400MB
(one notch above the minimum 200MB), Points more than a week or two old are
unlikely to be good for use anyhow.
You do need to turn background compacting in OE off - do it manually once a
week or so (depending on how much deleting you do), by using File|'Work
offline', then highlighting the 'Outlook Express' in the Folders pane, and
using File|Folders|Compact All Folders - once it's complete, you can go back
online
what does the one you're currently using look like?
If you've already used System Restore, then you should be back to a working
system .ini, assuming your problem happened after Monday, otherwise the
scanreg is the way to go, and quickly, before the older points fall off the
end of the board!
