I frequently get the message that my system resources are
low.
Resources are 57% free at startup and drop to 40% and
lower after I perform a few simple functions like
accessing the internet or writing a one page Word
document. So I'm continually restarting my computer.

Read this to learn about resources and then check what you have loading at
start-up and check against these lists to see what you do or do not need.

>1.check your anti virus quarentine, my hunch is you may
be virused, or gotten spyware installed on you system with
out your knowledge.
2.Download spybot search and destry instal and run it to
clean out unwanted spywear, then uninstall it.
3.Uninstall applications you know longer need.
4.Run line type cleanmgr clean out the temp and internet
temp files.
5.Also on the run line type msconfig , turn off other
applications from booting at start up.You must
leave "state manager" Windows Millenium needs this.
6.go to safe mode run scandsk and defrag.
7.Unless your system is virused up it should run like a
champ again, if you have had worm viruses, back up all
impotant files, then fdisk/format/reload.
