Dear All,
a customer of mine has got a windows millenium edition and has applied
latest IE's hot fix, so the authentication method
http://username:password@server.domain.com does not run anymore.
There is an article (834489) about registry modification in order to permit
the above method: the customer has applied the workaround but system does
not run anymore, the behaviour is like system is going to
reconfigure completely
(searching new hardware has started)
Fortunately, he has got several system restore points...
Please, anyone of you could give me an help, if this is related to the
registry modification or cause may be a general system failure?
