HI,
I went to start> run> typed msconfig> ok. I then removed
a program from the start up menu. Now everytime I start
the computer I get the message "System configuration
Utility" and something to this effect:Using Selective
startup For trouble shooting your system. How do I exit
the System configration utility to start normallly?
Thank you!
Tammie

Tammie,

Either a) remove the unchecked entry completely by editing the registry, or,
b) next time the Selective Startup box appears on booting check the box to not
display the message again. You will not then see this message until after you
next use MSConfig.

BTW for various reasons I always use option b) as there are some entries in
MSConfig I wish to retain but for the most part have unchecked, just
occasionally checking them when required. There is nothing wrong or bad about
running in so-called "Selective Startup mode" which simply means you have an
unchecked entry in MSConfig.
