This can happen for a number of reasons
Please check the following points.
1) How big is your HD?
2) What's the allocation for System Restore set to - System
Properties|Performance|File System
3) What's the amount of space taken up by the C:\_Restore folder tree (It's
Hidden, and a System folder, so you'll need to enable viewing of these in
Folder Options)
4) is there a WININIT.INI file in the C:\Windows folder?
Try this:-
Start|Run
type
SCANREG /FIX
and click OK
does that help
HTH - with answeres to the above we should be able to help.
