Thanks, Silj.

Just curious, what do you think of Webroot's $30 Spy Sweeper?

You're most welcome, Alias.

Never ran it on any of my machines, have seen in action on client PC's.
Your call - yet, SpyBot and Ad-aware remain free.
Depends on what you want in an anti-Spyware app.

Thanks, I think I stick with the free apps.

Thank you Silj and '3412 bad products are now blocked' in WinME. As always,
don't forget to 'immunize' after the update.
Those 'free programs' for protection seem to work just fine for me.

Harry.

It is okay and I have used it in the past. A combination of free
applications does a good job too and so you are not likely to need it.
You could always do a free scan with SpySweeper to see if it finds
anything and then roll back your system to easily get rid of the junk
the free scan puts on which I think is mainly Active X entries or you
could just remove the Active X components that are added. I did scan
fairly recently with SpySweeper which found nothing and then rolled my
system back before the scan with Goback because it was convenient.
