Soundblaster on same IRQ as modem-problems

I bought a new modem and soundblaster PCI. When I loaded
them, the computer put both of them on the same IRQ.
Creative told me that the soundblaster needed its own
IRQ. I have no sound and my modem keeps freezing up. How
do I allocate the IRQs?

Either in the BIOS of the platform.

Change the PCI slot that one of the PCI cards has been inserted into.
