My computer is taking a long time to boot up. It gets to
the windows screen, and just sits there for 1-2 minutes
with a green background and no icons and the hourglass
mouse. The red light is flashing, so it is doing
something. But I've never had it take this long to boot
before. I just recently installed ME.

Does the PC have a network card?
Is this on a network? It may be waiting for a DHCP address.

If it is not on a network and it has a network card, you can fix this by
either assigning it an IP address (192.168.0.1) or disabling the network
card.

Let me know if you have a network card and need steps to assign an IP
address or disable the card.

Yes it has a linksys wireless card, now. But it booted
slow before I even installed it. I just sort of started
this computer from scratch. And ever since the beginning
it has booted slow.

Could it be my D drive? I went to run scandisk on it and
it said the drive was not properly formatted.
