I have recently had to reformat my HP computer with
Windows ME and it now seems to take anywhere from two to
five minutes just to get to the log-in screen.

I get to stare at a "processing files" screen until it's
done.

How can I speed up my computer ops system?

Assuming you have cleaned-up the startup issues, you may be interested
