I found Microsoft still marketing Windows ME upgrade..     - ScanDefrag problems (Koldbear) I've been a happy user of ScanDefrag for some time. Recently however, I'm unable to use the program unless I go into safe Mode. When I try to start the program it continualy attempts to start the Scandisk portion but the progress bar never gets beyond 40-45%. This was the reason I started using ScanDefrag in the first place..... I was sick of going into Safe Mode to use scandisk. I've tried doing alt-ctl-delete & end task for all running programs except Explorer & Sys Tray. Same results.....never gets past 40-45%. closing programs and when I hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE it states
that 'Winservn' is not responding.

This is getting on my goat and I have little technical
expertise.

Has anyone a solution please?
