See MS KB215632 - "Invalid Page Fault Starting WordPad or Paint"

http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=218632) which explains that the problem you
are having with MS Paint is probably a result of a damaged registry entry.
The KB tells you what to do to hopefully resolve the problem.
