How can I help, Harry?

If this is Off-Topic perhaps we can share emails and take this all
offline.

Why don't you register at AumHa Forums and you can private message
me from there.

That's awfully nice of you, Silj.
I did sign up with AumHa Forum in the past, but lost my login info and then
had trouble recovering it. So I wound up with BleepingComputer.com.
Someone by the name of Grinler answered my post and confirmed that I must
have had the Sober virus, which is inflicted through email and considered an
epidemic right now, but nothing is present in my current system.
He still suggested to delete a certain item in my log, pertaining to the
ErrorNuker, which I did.
This entrance was from a previous installation of that program.
I don't use it any longer.
Definitely will try to get back into the AumHaForum.
Otherwise no urgency in sight at the moment and therefore no need to
interrupt your *chase* <vbg>
Remember: "Once you have found her, never let her go!"
Thank you for being there.

Harry.

Oh Lordy, Harry...
What was your "registered" screen name or logon at AumHa?
I'll see what I can do.

>So I wound up with BleepingComputer.com.
How that happened, escapes me completely.
Lawrence Abrams is an MVP as well and a Spyware/Hijackware expert.
Good to know "Grinler" aka Lawrence helped you.

The "sober" virus is the /virus du jour/ - there are removal tools and you will
be protected by your A-V (assuming) it's up to date?
Curious your A-V client is... may have asked this already.

Silj:

Believe it or not, in the meantime I already searched my files and was able
to re-establish my login info and post my log file.
You'll see it when you go there under "webster72n"
The errornuker entrance has already been eliminated.
By accident I submitted the old file.
See what you think.

Harry.

Your HijackThis log resides at this URL, Harry -
(http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=16886)

You should run a fresh HJT log and post it asking for another look if you have
removed some items.

Just the one item, Silj, ErrorNuker.
Jim Eshelman says it looks clean to him (with it).
Why would removing the errornuker entrance present a problem? (trying to
learn something!)

Harry.

The program is legit, Harry, that's why Jim doesn't think it's an issue in your
HijackThis log.

Removing the program via Add/Remove Programs is at /your/ option.
*If* the program is causing you problems, by all means, uninstall it.
If loading it on start-up is a problem, uncheck the entry via MSCONFIG.

Silj:

The forum administrator for "BleepingComputers.com" under the name of
Grinler suggested the elimination of this item and I followed suit.
I can always get it back by reinstalling the program, but I seem to recall
having problems with it, for some reason or other.
As of now everything is running smoothly.

Harry.
