S L O W Opening ME

The ME operating system we have in our HP computer in
extremely slow when opening. I get a message
saying "processsing files...this may take a while" and it
does...it takes up to ten minutes before we can finally
use the computer.

How do I speed this up? HELP!

>Hi i have Windows (OEM) this is not a upgrade
from win98SE!
all i did was use my cd disk and re-install off of it
(be sure to use the backup feature, and get a blank floppy
to copy the tools files: to use as a startup floppy.)
I do it couple of times a year, it solves alot of problems.
