Found the problem... one single JPG (recently loaded) would show a thumbnail
in the side bar, but would not show a thumbnail in the main part of the
screen where all the files were in "thumbnail" view mode. That same JPG
would display "Preview Not Available" when I tried to view it full screen.
So, there was something corrupt in the JPG I guess (taken with a web cam)
and everything is fine now that it is deleted.
