Dear Sir/Madam,
I am using Compaq Presario 7000 desktop pc at home.
It has Windows ME with 1 GHz and P-III with 256 MB
RAM. I have a problem.
* The notepad closes down on its own within 5 seconds,
once I open any notepad file, is there some error in
registry or system file? Please tell me how can I prevent
this as I cannot keep notepad file open.
I know there's some error, so please dont tell that
might have some virus or trojan infection. Tell me how can
I make the default change in registry, so that it does not
close on its own. I am sure, this is infected, but can be
modified by registry values.

Please guide me for the above problem. I will be really
thankful to you.
Thanks,
Bhavik

Please stick to your original thread in future if you want people to help
you rather than ignore your postings.

It is MOST unlikely that the problem has anything to do with the registry.
Using Explorer search for all files named notepad on your PC. Check their
properties sheets, what are their sizes in bytes, their versions and
locations?
