Just letting you know that not all problems on a ME computer are Symantec
Norton A/V related..
The problems I was having with start-ups into the C:\root directory have
been located.
It was a conflict with Java. I disabled the Java and no more problems..
As for the random named files in the root directory, again it was found to
be a movie viewer working with Java to leave a temp file in the root
directory..
