I didn't post this question to the network NG because I feel it is more an OS issue.

I have a home network with one ME machine and one XP machine. The ME machine has a LPT1 laser jet printer and there is also a USB
printer. When I open the MSHome Network it show 9 instances of printers. The LPT1 is shown as Printer and the other 8 printers are
the USB printer. On the ME machine, There are just two printers installed and the properties shows the USB as sharing #9.

Confusing huh? Anyway to remove the references to the other printers?

I fixed it. I opened the USB printer properties clicked on Sharing. It showed sharing printer9. I changed it to #2 and clicked
Apply. I got an error. I reopened it again and it listed sharing with #8. I continued doing this until sharing was listed as
Printer2.

I reopened Mshome and low and behold only the two printer were listed.

Don't know if this has ever been asked before to anyone, but a point of interest.
